Still using the chisel and the hammer, tap the notch in the nut to loosen it

With the help of the 36 socket unscrew the hub nut

Using the ratchet and the torx socket unscrew the 2 screws of the caliper support, starting with the bottom one

Remove the caliper bracket

Remove the brake disc
    • Using the ratchet and the torx socket unscrew the 2 screws of the caliper support, starting with the bottom one

    • Remove the caliper bracket

    • Remove the brake disc

Compare the diameters of the discs, and the presence of the ABS magnetic ring

With the help of brake cleaner and a wire brush, clean the brake caliper bracket

Replace the caliper yoke and then the caliper by tightening the two screws.

Install the new brake pads

Replace the caliper and tighten the caliper screws using the 13mm open-end wrench and ratchet, starting with the top one.

Insert the end of the handbrake cable into its housing and pull on it to clip it
    • Install the new brake pads

    • Replace the caliper and tighten the caliper screws using the 13mm open-end wrench and ratchet, starting with the top one.

    • Insert the end of the handbrake cable into its housing and pull on it to clip it

Using the ratchet with the socket, pivot the handbrake cable lever so that the end of the cable returns to its housing.

Press the brake pedal several times to put the piston back in place.

Hello, are you sure about the tightening torque of the rear hub? On my documentation I have 300N.m and not 150N.m

Good tutorial, however the video omits the “piston pusher” step, always the most delicate. Too bad!

Not tested yet, but the Technical Review mentions an obligation to switch to the Diagnostic case to reprogram the electric handbrake after this operation. So be careful...

I am surprised to see a manual handbrake on a 5008. Normally 5008s have an electric brake?
