Replacing rear discs and pads - Citroën C8

Raise the vehicle and secure it on jack stands

Remove the rear wheels

Securing the vehicle: removing and refitting the wheel

Unscrew the two 13 screws using the 13 and 15 flat wrench to hold the lock nut on the slides.

Once the two 13 screws are removed, remove l'étrier pulling up

Remove the brake pads

Unscrew the two T55 screws

Withdraw la chape of stirrup

Using a wire brush, clean the pad seats.

Remove the slides from the screed and clean them.

Apply from la graisse on each slide

Replace the slides in the screed

Take care to put the dust covers back correctly

Remove the 12 screw holding the disc in place

Remove the disc

use a hammer to remove the disc

Using a wire brush, clean the disc holder.

Check that le nouveau disque matches the old one well

Reassemble the new disk

Aim the 12 screw

Reassemble the screed

Screw in the two T55 screws

Check that les nouvelles plaquettes correspond to the old ones

Using a piston pusher, push the piston back by turning it clockwise.

Install the brake pads by pushing them towards the disc

Reinstall the brake caliper

Screw in the two 13 mm screws

Reassemble the wheel

Tighten the wheel nuts to the correct torque using a torque wrench.

Place the vehicle on the ground

Pump the brake pedal several times until it becomes hard

Check the brake fluid level, which should be between the minimum and maximum levels.
