to dislodge and remove the original car radio
-
It's not easy because you have to press everything at once while trying to take the car radio out.
-
-
-
The original harness is supposed to be ISO compliant but it is not. As it is, the new car radio will systematically lose the settings you have made (stations, time, date, etc.).
-
here is the C1 beam
-
you will have to reverse the +battery and +after ignition wires to keep the memory
-
-
-
There are several possible solutions for modifying the beam:
-
you can cut and use crimp terminals or dominoes
-
you can cut, weld and use heat shrink tubing
-
you can use a de-plugger: it's the cleanest and quickest solution

-
Rather than modifying the car's wiring harness as shown in the previous step, I modified the car radio's wiring harness (it was very easily modifiable in my case). I simply:
-
identified the wires: black (ground), yellow (+ after contact) and red (+ permanent)
-
disconnected the red and yellow wires
-
and reversed the connection
-
-
-
install a hubcap for a much cleaner result
-
install the car radio cage
-
put it firmly in place and bend the fins so that nothing moves anymore
-
-
-
present the front panel and connect the 2 car radio plugs
-
There are foolproof locks so it is impossible to reverse.
-
connect the antenna
-
test to make sure everything works
-
-
-
clip the facade
-
Be careful not to pinch any wires.
-
screw the screw, crosshead screwdriver
-
put the button in place
