Introduction

Engine: Peugeot 2008 1.6 HDi 120

Unlock the ignition switch, leaving the key inside, to be able to turn the vehicle's wheels when replacing the discs and pads.

  7. Using the ratchet and the T30 Torx bit, unscrew the two T30 screws that hold the disc in place. Remove the old disc, using a hammer if necessary. Clean the hub bearing using sandpaper

    • Remove the old disc, using a hammer if necessary.

    • Clean the hub bearing using sandpaper

  10. Mount the new disk Using the ratchet and the T30 bit, screw in the two screws that hold the disc in place.

  11. Reassemble the yoke with the stirrup Screw in the two T55 screws

  12. Replace the spacers if they are supplied with the new pads. Otherwise, clean the pad holder before reassembling it. Otherwise, clean the pad holder before reassembling it.

    • Reassemble the wheels respecting the tightening torques

    • Put the vehicle back on the ground

    • Pump the brake pedal several times

    • Check the brake fluid level, which should be between the minimum and maximum levels.

    • The first braking should be done at low speed to defrost the brakes.

Conclusion

Remember to do a 500km running-in or the braking should be gentler.

I'm talking about the bottom screw that you remove with a 13mm flat wrench to tilt the caliper upwards.
