Open the hood.
    • Open the hood.

    • Locate the ignition coils under which the spark plugs are located.

Slide the small tabs on the coils outwards using a small flat screwdriver.

Disconnect the connector by pressing lightly on it.

Each spool is held in place by two screws.

Unlock and unscrew the two screws using an 8 mm socket.

Remove the spool by pulling upwards.

    • Remove the spool by pulling upwards.

Locate the spark plug well and the spark plug.

Clean the spark plug well using a compressor and a blower to prevent residue from falling into the cylinder.

Check the correspondence between the new spark plug and the old one.

    • Check the electrode gap using a set of shims, gap normally already preset to 1.2mm.

Place the spark plug on the socket.

Screw in the spark plug by hand.

Tighten the spark plug to the correct torque using a torque wrench. 20Nm

    • Tighten the spark plug to the correct torque using a torque wrench. 20Nm

Clean any residue present on the coil.

Re-engage the coil on the spark plug in its original position.

Tighten and lock the two fixing screws.
    • Clean any residue present on the coil.

    • Re-engage the coil on the spark plug in its original position.

    • Tighten and lock the two fixing screws.

Connect the connector.

Push back the small spur.

Repeat the operation for the other two spark plugs. It is possible to remove the oil vapor recirculation pipe (pink arrow) to facilitate the disassembly of the 3rd coil.
    • Connect the connector.

    • Push back the small spur.

Hello Jean-Charles,

Does the tightening torque of 20 NM correspond to the manufacturer's recommendations? because there is nothing marked on this subject on the packaging of the spark plugs what is your source? thank you in advance for this clear tutorial
