Open the brake fluid cap to facilitate removal of the pistons after installing the new pads.

    • Remove the wheel and place the car on one or two candle(s).

Remove the 2 screws from the caliper, and hang it using a coat hanger (see photo step 3)

Take out the pads

Remove the pad holders (one at the top and one at the bottom)
    • Remove the 2 screws from the caliper, and hang it using a coat hanger (see photo step 3)

    • Take out the pads

    • Remove the pad holders (one at the top and one at the bottom)

    • Drop the disc

Degrease the discs on both sides
    • Degrease the discs on both sides

    • Wear clean gloves or do not touch the surface of the discs to avoid greasing them with your fingers.

Tightening torque = 10 daN/m

Clean and then grease the caliper nuts (make sure that excess grease does not leak out of the rubber bellows).
    • Tightening torque = 10 daN/m

    • Clean and then grease the caliper nuts (make sure that excess grease does not leak out of the rubber bellows).

    • Reinstall the pad holders and pads

Tightening torque of the caliper nuts = 7.4 daN/m

Pump the brake pedal lightly to ensure that the pads slide well in their cleaned holders.
    • Tightening torque of the caliper nuts = 7.4 daN/m

    • Pump the brake pedal lightly to ensure that the pads slide well in their cleaned holders.

    • Close the brake fluid cap and make sure there is not too much fluid (if not, suck it up with a syringe)

    • Put the wheel back down, take a short ride and try to brake very gradually and harder and harder while driving a few km.
