How to change the oil on a Peugeot 106 1.5D

Locate the filler cap, the drain plug and the oil filter.

I use a 1/2 ratchet and a 21MM socket to loosen the drain plug

Unblock the cap and finish loosening it by hand.

Place a container to collect the used oil

I replace the cap and its seal, compare the two

For the oil filter I use a strap wrench

Place the key on the filter and loosen the

Remove the filter

Compare the old filter with the new one

Oil the filter gasket to ensure a better seal.

Place the new filter

Tighten by hand only

Once the oil has drained, I replace the new cap with its seal, tighten it by hand then finish with the wrench.

Oil to A3/B4 standards in 10W40

Unscrew the filler cap and fill with 4.5 liters of oil

Check the level

To finish, I degrease the crankcase with brake cleaner.
