Engine oil change on Golf V - 1.9 TDI

open the engine hood

remove the protective cover on the engine, there is a 10 screw to unscrew at the rear left, then you have to pull upwards.

Under the car, you have to remove the under-engine protection cover, it is fixed by 4 torx screws of 25 on each side and 4 torx screws of 30 at the bottom.

behind the engine there is a 19 screw that must be removed, it is essential to put a 5 liter container in order to collect the used oil and finally replace the 19 screw with a new gasket and replace the engine cover.

on the engine unscrew the oil filter cover with a 32 socket, replace the filter.

Replace the small gasket located on the filter cover.

pour about 4 liters of oil and then check the level using the oil dipstick, then add more until the level is between the minimum and maximum. start the engine for a few seconds to fill the oil filter and adjust the oil level, put the cover back on the engine.

It is very important to respect the viscosity recommended and available in your maintenance booklet.

to reset the periodic maintenance, with the ignition off, press the reset button on the counter, switch on the ignition without starting and release the reset button on the counter and press the minute button for setting the time, and there you go again for 15,000 km
