Introduction

This tutorial will show you how to easily change your pads on 205 Bendix mount calipers.

  1. 
Start by lifting the car and removing the wheel following this tutorial: Securing the vehicle: removing and refitting the wheel
  2. 
We then access the caliper and its two pads.

Remove the inner side stop pin.

Carefully push the piston in using a large flat-blade screwdriver to lever it back in.

Disconnect the pad wear indicator

Unclip the two anti-noise springs.

Push the pad locking key using a flat screwdriver and a hammer if necessary.

Then remove the pads and check that they match the new ones.

Please note that the pads have a direction, check the mounting direction carefully before removing them. Here you can refer to the holes in the wear indicator.

Insert the new pads and reconnect the wear indicator.

Clip the two noise-canceling springs.

Slide the key back in by tapping with a hammer.

Replace a pin on the inside.

    • Before getting back on the road, pump the brake pedal ten times to release the piston!

hello,

A little tip to avoid the “Clac” when reversing. You must not align the slots of the 2 pads. They must be staggered.
