Introduction
We are going to change the windscreen washer pump of the Peugeot 106.
Symptom of such a breakdown: you hear the windshield washer motor running when you operate the windshield washer but nothing comes out, even though your reservoir is full and your windshield washer hoses are not clogged.
The windshield washer pump is fitted into the washer reservoir, located under the right front fender. So first remove the right front wheel, then remove the mudguard, and you will have access to the pump.
Provide a drain pan!

-
Start by removing the right front wheel: Securing the vehicle: removing and refitting the wheel
-
Proceed on level ground. Apply the handbrake.
-
Loosen the nuts before lifting the car.
-
Once the nuts are loosened, place the jack at the jacking location (between the two small fins on the rocker panel (see green box).
-
Do not place the jack outside of this location, this will deform the underbody under the weight of the car.
-
Raise the car, then finish loosening the wheel nuts and remove the wheel.
-
-
-
To remove the mudguard, you have to remove the small plastic clips using a flat screwdriver or/and better pliers. There are in principle 5 clips on the mudguard: the one at the front at the bottom inside according to photo 1; the 3 according to photo 2; and finally the one at the front at the very bottom under the bumper.
-
Plan on getting new fasteners (from an auto parts store) as the old ones will probably be damaged.
-
Put your hand in the notch (orange square) to pull the mudguard upwards, push a little towards the engine to disengage it from the wing then lower it from the front.

The windshield washer pump is embedded in the windshield washer reservoir. To remove it, you will first have to disconnect the green connector, then the two windshield washer fluid hoses that are connected on either side at the bottom of the pump. And finally remove the pump from the hole surrounded by a seal that fits into the windshield washer reservoir.
-
To disconnect the green connector, remove the metal clip using a flat screwdriver. Then simply unplug the green plug.
-
Disconnect the two windshield washer hoses: the black one on the left (which goes to the rear window) and the clear one on the right (which goes to the windshield).
-
To disconnect the hoses, you have to pull, turn, it can be a little difficult but no special tools are required. Flat pliers can help, but be careful not to damage the hoses which are made of original plastic and which become very brittle over time. They may need to be changed.

-
Remove the pump from the windshield washer reservoir. To do this, pull towards you to remove the tip that fits into the reservoir (surrounded by a seal) and remove the pump.
-
Note: in the photo the hoses are connected to the pump but at this stage these have already been removed.
-
Be careful to place a drain pan under the pump because when you remove the washer pump nozzle from the reservoir, the latter will empty.
-
-
-
Proceed in reverse order for reassembly.
-
Check the condition of the seal that surrounds the washer pump tip that goes into the reservoir. If it is chipped as in the photo, it needs to be replaced.
-
Replace the washer pump seal in its hole in the reservoir and insert the new pump.
-
Reconnect the green connector. Don't forget to put the metal clip back.
-
Reconnect the washer hoses on both sides.
-
Replace the mudguard. It is advisable to put new fasteners.
-
Reinstall the wheel: screw on the nuts. Tighten once the car is off the jack.

Thank you for this very precise and useful tutorial!
I would like to add this 2nd tutorial which allows you to repair the pump (if you have the model concerned) without changing it completely: https://youtu.be/ERvwuVEcY2w?si=zewqvRnI...
And I had to take the horn apart to have some space without cutting my hands.
To access the connections when the pump is mounted it is an impossible hassle
Is the seal available on Oscaro??
Did you find the seal? I am looking for this information, my messenger Tarcel page. Thanks
