Bonjour,

faut-il faire attention à conserver la mémoire avant de changer la batterie?

Merci

This technician is not one, it is irresponsible to give advice of this kind. Because if even the alternator according to the model self-excites, the disconnected battery no longer limits the voltage in the vehicle's electrical circuit. The voltage rises and takes considerable values that can exceed a hundred volts and no electronic component can resist. The damage can be considerable, firstly voltage regulator and alternator.

The operation should not even be discouraged, which leaves it unclear whether it is possible to carry it out; it should never be considered.

A funny technician! You never change a battery with the engine running. Besides, how can the engine turn once the battery is removed (no more injector power, no more excitation current on the alternator rotor, etc.)

Hello, I just had my battery changed at N——to on a Peugeot 508

The technician told me that he changed the battery with the engine running so as not to lose the car radio and key information, etc.

Do you know this method?
