Introduction

To complete this tutorial you will need a 14mm spark plug socket wrench and a T20 Torx screwdriver or bit.

  1. 
Remove the two Torx screws from the protective cover (red arrow).

Open the oil cap so that you can lift the hood and remove it. It will only be held by the 4 small notches (green arrow)

Disconnect the coils by lifting the tab and pulling towards you.

Remove the coils by pulling them upwards. If they resist, you can use a screwdriver to lever them out.

Unscrew the spark plugs one by one with the 14mm spark plug wrench. Be sure to keep the wrench horizontal so as not to damage the spark plug thread when loosening it.

Compare the old spark plug with the new one to verify that they are the same height and diameter.

Proceed in reverse order to reassemble the spark plugs.
