Very well explained.

Well, as a novice in this field, it took me 30 minutes following the instructions. I struggled a bit to find how to disconnect the airbag plug, which I damaged a bit. The filter was so clogged that I think it is original.

Hello and thank you for this tutorial. I will tackle this filter this week. However, what is the procedure to remove the “Do Revision” message?

Hello and thank you for this tutorial. We find people changing the filter without removing the glove box. Indeed, by leaning over I can see it. However, I would like to put an activated carbon filter (more rigid I think?) will it support a little pressure and twisting to fit into the housing? (because less space without removing the glove box)
Thanking you.

Excellent work from the team. Without a good tutorial it is difficult to do the job without risking breaking something or unnecessary disassembly. Renault has done well again because you have to go and get this damn filter. My Scénic bought from Renault and coming from the brand's rental fleet still had the original filter at 118,000 km and 6 years of life (in 2016 when I changed it for the first time).

Thanks Sebastien! By following it to the letter, we avoid breaking hubcaps and other things in the car.

Very good tutorial so congratulations to its creator...but on the other hand what can we say about the Renault designers who came up with this solution...

Hello Jean Paul and thank you for the comment and yes Renault does not always do things simply. Good maintenance. Sébastien

Same for me. I didn't need to disassemble the storage compartment. Just a good flashlight and to unclip the pipe that passes in front of the plastic cover of the filter as well as the plastic cheek to better access the . 10 min flat. Thanks anyway for these detailed explanations. My Renault filter was mounted upside down. The arrows on the engine side!

THANKS.
But no need to remove the glove box.
You can feel by touch whether the filter is in place or not.
Furthermore, removing/replacing the glove box is not without aesthetic risk (scratches, etc.)
Otherwise superb tutorial, thanks again.

Hello, great tutorial!!! 15min watch in hand, but without disassembling the glove box... I preferred to bend over backwards from underneath after having just disassembled the access cheek at the bottom...
Thanks in any case for this very well written, super well documented tutorial!!!

Good morning ,
It is true that the glove box has resistance on the console side and that I had difficulty removing it;
However, looking at its attachment once removed, we notice that it has three hooks, on the console side (or left side);
To unclip these hooks on the left side, once the right side and the top are unclipped, you have to lift the glove box by pulling it, or even shaking it upwards and to the left so that these 3 hooks release their hold.
Don't get upset; it's Renault plastic;
Thank you for this very well done tutorial;

Hello Sebastian,
Thank you for your feedback.
In addition to your already very well done and very clear tutorial, I found the following video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGpW8uOo...
Despite everything, I still can't get that damn glove compartment out!!!!!
Solution: I took the filter out leaving the glove box in place.
Result: it works but it's frankly not the best way to put the filter back in place.
Scenic filters replaced, I am now tackling the installation of a towbar on my second vehicle (it's not easy!!!)
Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Yan

Good evening Sébastien, good evening everyone,
I followed this tutorial to try to change the filter myself, but unfortunately without success :-( !!!
Everything is going well until step 6 (disassembling the glove box). Despite removing 6 screws, I can't
take out the glove box. I feel resistance on the left side.
Have you encountered this same problem? Should I force it?
Thanks in advance for your advice.
Sincerely,
Yan

Hello Yan it is possible that a clip resists I checked the tutorial I don't think I forgot any screws on the side of the central console. The glove box weighs on the fixing clips it seems to me to lift it at the same time as I pull it towards the seat.
There are several clips at the bottom of the filter, one may be stuck.
Keep me posted. Sebastien.

FYI Renault does not recommend removing the glove box in its Dialogys manual.

Hello Olivier, for me it is the only method to ensure the correct placement of the filter. Because without disassembling the glove box it must be folded but nothing says that it will be properly unfolded in the housing. Greetings Sébastien.

Good tutorial, but you can do it without taking out the glove box, provide a lamp, a tox 20 then lean under the glove box, in two minutes it's done
bruno lempernesse - Reply
Hello Bruno, it's true it's possible without removing the glove box but there is no guarantee that the flexible filter is correctly positioned. Sebastien.
