Introduction
This tutorial will explain how to change the steering knuckles on a 205 1.4 85hp (TU engine)
It is advisable to do a parallelism after the operation!

-
The ball joints are located on either side of the front axle, near the brake discs.
-
To remove the wheel refer to the following tutorial: Prerequisites: Vehicle security
-
-
-
Loosen the top nut using a 16 wrench.
-
If the ball joint is stuck, give the nut a light tap, paying attention to the thread!
-
-
-
Place a 16 mm flat wrench at the base of the connecting rod to lock it in rotation.
-
Then slightly loosen the locknut located at the base of the ball joint using a 22 mm flat spanner.
-
-
-
You can then remove the top nut to take out the ball joint
-
Unscrew the ball joint, always blocking the connecting rod from rotating
-
You can use a small tube to act as leverage if the ball joint is stuck.
-
When unscrewing the ball joint, carefully count the number of turns you make.
-
-
-
Screw in the new ball joint the same number of turns you did to remove the old one.
-
Once it is in place, lock the lock nut with the 22 wrench
-
-
-
Reposition the ball joint in the strut
-
Tighten the top nut (about 40 Nm if you have a torque wrench)
-
Despite the precautions taken previously, it is strongly recommended to have a parallelism carried out by a professional.

Hello, I can't loosen the nut because the threaded rod turns with it. Any idea how to block it please?

I think I see what your problem is: the ball joint turns on itself when trying to remove its upper nut? If this is the case, you can position a jack under the ball joint to block it (this will block it in its location) and you can then loosen the nut. Best regards.
