Unscrew the steering ball joint nut
-
Extract the ball joint using an extractor (or by tapping with a hammer..)
-
The operation can be done by leaving the wheel on the ground and clamping it, this avoids errors in adjusting the new connecting rod.
-
-
-
Unfold the "cage" slightly
-
Unscrew the upper nut and the two connecting rod nuts and remove the assembly.
-
-
-
Remove the two tie rods from the wheel arch
-
-
-
Adjust the new rod to the same length as the old one (axle to axle) by screwing/unscrewing the central nut
-
Reinstall the connecting rods in the reverse order of removal.
-
I nevertheless advise you to go and have the alignment adjusted using suitable tools.
