Raise and chock the front of the vehicle with the wheels hanging

Apply penetrating oil to the ball joint threads if necessary.

Loosen the 17mm nut

Do not completely remove the nut before loosening the inner ball joint lock nut.
    • Apply penetrating oil to the ball joint threads if necessary.

    • Loosen the 17mm nut

    • Do not completely remove the nut before loosening the inner ball joint lock nut.

    • If necessary, tap lightly with a hammer to move the axle.

Loosen the 21 mm lock nut while blocking the rotation of the inner steering rod

Return to the ball joint and completely remove the nut

Remove the steering ball joint by loosening it with your hand.
    • Loosen the 21 mm lock nut while blocking the rotation of the inner steering rod

    • Return to the ball joint and completely remove the nut

    • Remove the steering ball joint by loosening it with your hand.

    • Count the number of turns, it will be used when replacing the new ball joint

Cut the small clamp and the large clamp on the inner steering ball joint axle.

Pull the bellows to slide it along the axial ball joint.

    • Pull the bellows to slide it along the axial ball joint.

Insert the bellows onto the inner ball joint axle

Place hose clamps on both ends of the bellows.

Tighten the ball joint by counting the number of turns again, it must be identical to that of removal

Place the ball joint axle in the hub carrier

    • Place the ball joint axle in the hub carrier

    • Tighten the ball joint nut

    • Tighten the lock nut

    • Have the geometry adjusted by a specialist
