Introduction

Vehicle engine 1.4 HDi 70 hp

  1. Raise and block the front of the vehicle. Remove the front wheels to access the stabilizer bar links. Securing the vehicle: removing and refitting the wheel
  2. Using a T30 Torx bit and a 16 wrench, remove the nut from the upper ball joint of the tie rod. Once the nut is removed, do not release the axle from its support. In the same way, remove the nut from the lower ball joint.
    • Using a T30 Torx bit and a 16 wrench, remove the nut from the upper ball joint of the tie rod.

    • Once the nut is removed, do not release the axle from its support.

    • In the same way, remove the nut from the lower ball joint.

  3. Remove the 2 connecting rod pins. Compare the new connecting rod and the old one Clean the supports with a cloth and position the pins of the new connecting rod inside.
    • Remove the 2 connecting rod pins.

    • Compare the new connecting rod and the old one

    • Clean the supports with a cloth and position the pins of the new connecting rod inside.

  4. Install the new nuts supplied with the new billet. Hold the axle with the torx bit and tighten the nut. On both ball joints. Do the same on the opposite wheel.
    • Install the new nuts supplied with the new billet.

    • Hold the axle with the torx bit and tighten the nut. On both ball joints.

    • Do the same on the opposite wheel.

    • Reinstall the wheels and check for proper operation.
