Loosen the wheel nuts about one turn

Raise the vehicle, secure it with a jack stand, then finish loosening the wheel nuts and remove the wheel.

Unscrew the axle at the shock absorber head

Unscrew the 2 rear nuts, locking the main nut with a flat spanner then opening the lock nut first.

Remove the shock absorber. If necessary, use a jack to raise the arm.
    • Unscrew the axle at the shock absorber head

    • Unscrew the 2 rear nuts, locking the main nut with a flat spanner then opening the lock nut first.

    • Remove the shock absorber. If necessary, use a jack to raise the arm.

Install the new shock absorber respecting the direction of the silent blocks: Cup - Silent block - chassis support - cup - silent block - cup

Tighten the upper axle (55 Nm)

Place the lower nut (tighten to 55Nm) then the lock nut
    • Install the new shock absorber respecting the direction of the silent blocks: Cup - Silent block - chassis support - cup - silent block - cup

    • Tighten the upper axle (55 Nm)

    • Place the lower nut (tighten to 55Nm) then the lock nut

    • To facilitate removal (and reinstallation), separate the 2 fixing points by raising the arm with a jack (Lift at the level of the flange), in order to lift as much as possible, do not hesitate to put weight in the 4L

    • To facilitate the installation of the new shock absorber, clamp it in maximum compression using wire for example.

    • Remove any flange, then replace the wheel, place the vehicle on the ground and check that the wheel is tight.
