Introduction

In this tutorial, I will show you how to change your low beam bulb. This tutorial does not require any mechanical knowledge or special tools. Just a screwdriver and an H7 bulb.

  1. 
Open the hood of the car. Pull the lever under the steering wheel (photo 1). Then unlock the hood and lift it.

Remove the 3 screws located in the orange circles. (screws located at the top of photo 2)

Remove the 3 rivets located under these screws. (rivet located at the bottom of photo 2)

Remove protection
    • Remove the 3 screws located in the orange circles. (screws located at the top of photo 2)

    • Remove the 3 rivets located under these screws. (rivet located at the bottom of photo 2)

    • Remove protection

  3. 
Disconnect the power cable from the bulb.

This cable looks like in photo 2.

Remove the rubber protective cap. (shown in photo 3)
    • Disconnect the power cable from the bulb.

    • This cable looks like in photo 2.

    • Remove the rubber protective cap. (shown in photo 3)

  4. 
Remove the metal clip (see photo 2). To do this, push it towards the front of the car, then up or down depending on the side.

take out the bulb

remove the bulb adapter (see photo 3)

    • remove the bulb adapter (see photo 3)

  5. 
Take your new bulb with a clean cloth and replace it in the bulb adapter then repeat the steps in the other direction.

Please note that on Mazda 3 phase 2 it is not H7 but H11, always good to know ;)
