The first step is to remove the engine cover.
-
There are 4 clips, just lift the cover gently and it comes off by itself
-
-
-
Now we see les 4 bobines d'allumage These are the 4 gray covers connected by the cables
-
-
-
First, you need to disconnect the cables. To do this, simply press the end of the connector and pull the cable towards you.
-
Under the original location of the cable, the coil is held by a Torx type screw, it must be removed using d'un tournevis
-
Now just pull the coil, and that's it, the disassembly is complete.
-
-
-
Nothing could be simpler now, we insert the new ignition coil, we screw in the Torx screw, we reconnect the connector,
-
We put the engine cover back on in the same way, and that's it.
-
Changing the ignition coils on a Clio 2 is very easy and very quick. It is within everyone's reach and it will save us a lot of money.

On my Clio 2 phase 2 petrol, I don't have 4 ignition coils but 1 coil with 4 connectivities (inputs/outputs).

There is some information missing. Before reassembly, you must apply spark plug grease (e.g. Beru ZKF 01) to the silicone tip of the coil (make a circle of 1 or 2mm inside the coil).
