Changing the headlight bulbs - Peugeot 106

A bulb in your vehicle may be defective. Try the different possible lighting modes, such as: daytime running lights, dipped beam, main beam or fog lights to diagnose the defective bulb.

In our case, an H4 bulb is faulty

The hood release handle is located under the steering wheel

Open the hood

Behind the headlight is a plastic cover

Pull the plastic cover to remove it and access the bulb

Pull the connector to remove it

2 springs hold the bulb

Bring the two ends towards the center and release them to unlock it.

Pull the bulb out of its location

Compare the new bulb with the old one

Do not touch the glass of the bulb with your fingers, contact with the glass makes it more fragile.

Place the bulb, taking care to respect the 3 guides

Replace the spring

Replace the connector on the bulb

Replace the rear headlight cover

Close the engine hood

Try the new bulb(s)
