Changing the exhaust gas pressure sensor (FAP)

  1. 
Open the engine hood using the handle at the pedal level.

To replace it, you have to unclip the connector by leveraging it with a flat screwdriver. Be careful not to break the plastic clips. The plastic can harden and become brittle.

On the 2 hoses, you must loosen the 2 clamps and slide them down to release the hoses. Do not hesitate to use a flat screwdriver to lever the hoses.

Once the 2 hoses and the connectors have been removed, you will need to unscrew the sensor held in place with a size 4 BTR screw.

To install the new one, you have to do the complete opposite of what you just did.

Hello, on my vehicle I have two hoses, one of them is cut short and is not connected anywhere. Is this normal?
