Introduction
The brake pedal switch is a switch located under the brake pedal that, when you brake, turns on the brake lights. If all the brake lights do not come on or if they stay on constantly, the fault is probably coming from this switch.

The brake pedal switch is located in the passenger compartment at the pedal assembly, more precisely on the brake pedal axle.
-
For better accessibility, move the driver's seat as far back as possible and remove any floor mat that might be in the way.
-
-
-
Disconnect the electrical connector from the contactor; to do this, simply pull the connector.
-
Remove the brake pedal switch, again just pull on it, no tools are required.
-
-
-
Check that the new contactor matches the old one in terms of both its diameter and its electrical connector.
-
-
-
Place the new switch in place and push it in until it stops.
-
Reconnect the electrical connector.
-
Turn on the ignition and check that the brake lights come on when you press the brake pedal and go off when you release it.
