Introduction

Raise and chock the rear of the vehicle. Remove the wheels to gain access to the braking system.

In the vehicle, release the handbrake lever.

Pull the handbrake cable to remove it for easier changing

The brake caliper has two fixing screws.

Using a 13mm socket and a 15mm wrench, remove the screw
-

-
Remove the two screws supporting the caliper.
-
Be careful not to kink the brake fluid line
-
Remove the caliper and use tensioners to support it without damaging the hose.

Identify the stirrup columns
-
Pull the column to see the tear in the bellows where the grease is escaping.
-
To remove everything, pull firmly on the column to unclip the bellows from the caliper body.

Place the second column in the same way.
-
Clean the caliper wells with degreaser and a swab
-
-
-
Clean the caliper completely with a degreaser
-
Compare columns and bellows
-
Apply the grease supplied with the columns into the well
-

-
Also apply grease to the bellows
-
Insert the column and bellows assembly into the stirrup
-
Push firmly to clip the lip of the gaiter onto the groove of the caliper
-

Open the brake fluid reservoir cap
-
Use a piston pusher to push the piston away from the caliper.

Apply threadlock to the two caliper bracket screws.
-

-
Secure the caliper bracket and tighten with the torque wrench
-
Place the new brake pads.
-
Replace the brake caliper.
-

-
Use the new fixing screws with thread lock.
-
Tighten the caliper screws and reattach the handbrake cable.
-
Press the brake pedal several times until it becomes hard.
-
Check the brake fluid level and close the reservoir
-

Hello, can we just change the brake caliper guides without having to change the disc (knowing that a complete overhaul was done recently)?
