Changing the battery on Renault Clio 1

Start by opening the hood.

Locate the battery.

Locate the negative battery terminal.

Then the positive terminal of the battery.

Then the battery retaining screw.

Using a 10mm open-end wrench, start by unscrewing the negative terminal of the battery.

Then unscrew the positive terminal of the battery.

Locate the retaining screw.

Using a 7mm socket wrench, unscrew the battery retaining screw.

Remove the battery using your wrists.

If necessary, clean the battery location.

Compare the electrical characteristics of the batteries.

Be careful not to pinch the terminals when inserting the battery.

Replace la batterie neuve in its reserved space.

Tighten the battery retaining screw.

Start by connecting the negative terminal.

Then connect the positive terminal.

Check that the lugs and the retaining screw are tight.

You can take your used battery to a recycling center.
