Good morning
It seems to me that the general rule of thumb when removing a battery is for safety reasons to first disconnect the negative terminal.
To avoid a short circuit with any metal part of the vehicle when the positive terminal is then disconnected.
Sincerely.
Hello, good point, it's corrected.
Sincerely.
Very clear explanations, thank you. However, on the 2009 hdi 1.6 hdi model, I confirm that to remove the battery, you must first unclip the computer block (located to the left of the battery). Nothing to disconnect, just remove the plastic cover from the computer, press the clips, the block comes out and places it on the side, on the left. The battery can then be released from its base.
oops! I think I did everything as written: “… Pull the battery handle to remove it.
At the same time, press the lever to release the safety catch that holds the bottom of the battery in its holder.”
but it doesn't move an iota... I even feel like I'm lifting the whole car... I'm kidding!
But I'm going back***
A quarter hour later… I re: laugh =>
you forgot that you had to extract the CALCULATOR, which also has, opposite the lever, a safety device which holds the bottom of the battery in its support.

very useful tutorial, but it would be good to talk about the car radio….I saw that this did not pose a problem with the vin code on a site if the radio is original, but I don't know…otherwise connect a second battery with small clamps for this ask: (google) battery connection diagram and there be careful not to connect in 24 volts
In my case I had no code problem with the original car radio. For the rest, no idea.
