The battery is located on the left side of the vehicle, in the engine compartment.

Start by removing the air intake cover.

The battery is located in a case. Pull the handle to remove the half shell of the case.

In the same way, remove the second part of the case.

First disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

Then to disconnect the positive terminal, use an 8 wrench to loosen the nut

Pull the battery handle to remove it.

Press the lever at the same time to release the safety catch that holds the bottom of the battery in its holder.

Place the new battery in its location.
-
Reconnect the terminals, negative then positive.

Replace the three plastic covers.
-
Wait 5 minutes before starting the engine, while the vehicle electronics reset.

Hello, for information on my vehicle (Citroen C2 HDI 1.4 70 hp from 2008), between steps 3 and 4 I had to disconnect the computer plugs and remove it, located against the battery, between the battery and the engine, without which it was not possible to remove the battery
Hello and thank you for this tutorial, the longest part is putting the battery back in place because of the lugs that block it. By following the tutorial it's very easy
