Introduction

Your brake lights no longer work?

Here is a tutorial to change it very quickly.

  1. 
Get your torx screwdriver

After opening the trunk, unscrew the 2 Torx screws at the bottom of the black protective pads

At the level of the trunk jacks, unscrew 2 torx screws on each side

Once the 6 screws have been removed, the spoiler must be unclipped by exerting pressure towards the outside of the trunk.

    • Manipulation to be done on both sides of the spoiler

Your spoiler is now free. Now you need to disconnect the brake light. There is only one connector

You have to press the tab to release the connector

Your lights are now disconnected.

Now we have to disassemble the light, it is held by 2 torx screws at its ends

After checking the compatibility of your new part, simply put the 2 torx screws back on the lights

Reconnect the connector, this time pushing the connector

Reclip the spoiler, screw in the 4 screws located next to the jacks.

    • Reconnect the connector, this time pushing the connector

    • Reclip the spoiler, screw in the 4 screws located next to the jacks.

    • Replace the 2 black covers with the 2 torx screws

    • Remember to check that the lights are working properly before getting back on the road.

Changing this central brake light is very easy and accessible to everyone.

Good morning,

I am a woman who knows nothing about mechanics and I started changing this rear light to be able to pass my Clio to the MOT without much conviction, and yet the tutorial is so well explained that I succeeded without problem so do not hesitate to get started! Thank you very much Florent, thanks to you, I avoided garage fees which were probably exorbitant! and I hope an MOT is ok! :)
