Open the hood to access the engine.

The EGR valve is located at the rear of the engine, on the driver's side.

To access it, it is necessary to remove parts of the engine. Start with the air intake protection.

The intake air duct is fixed to the chassis, use a 10mm wrench.

Remove the assembly.
-

Changing the battery - Peugeot 307 -
Disconnect the battery.
-
Lift the battery protection case from below to remove it.
-
The battery is secured to the chassis by a clamp. Use a 10mm socket to loosen the retaining screw.

Grasp the battery by the handle to remove it from its housing.
-
Unscrew the battery holder mounting nuts.
-
Remove the bracket.
-
-
-
Unscrew the brake fluid filler reservoir fixing screws.
-
And keep it in a horizontal position out of the way.
-
Remove the hubcap placed on the engine
-

-
Remove the intake air duct. Rotate the tube a quarter turn to unclip it and then remove it from its housing.

It is necessary to remove the air line connected to the turbocharger
-
Changing the air mass flow meter - Peugeot 307

Loosen the clamp placed on the turbocharger with an 8 socket or a flat screwdriver. Do the same on the sensor clamp.

Disconnect the sensor plug

Pull the pipe and unclip the plastic clip at the same time
-

Remove the air line.
-
Remove the three 8mm screws from the intake air flow meter, 2 above and 1 below.

Disconnect the first 2 diesel pipes from the filter.

Remove the electrical connector.
-
-
-
Disconnect the third diesel pipe from the back of the filter.
-
Press the filter locking tab onto its holding bracket.
-
Gently remove the filter from its housing and disconnect the hose then the connector located underneath.

Gently remove the filter from its housing and disconnect the pipe then the connector located underneath.
-
Remove the three screws securing the filter bracket.
-
Remove the support.
-
-
-
EGR valve.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector from the valve.
-
Remove the air box.
-
-
-
The EGR valve has two fixing screws accessible from the rear.
-
And a clamp. In some cases this clamp is originally crimped, it will be necessary to remove it and replace it.

Use a ratchet to remove the screws
-
Remove the valve and its flat gasket.
-
-
-
Place the new gasket
-
Install the EGR valve
-
Tighten the fixing screws and the retaining collar.
-
Installing a new EGR valve requires reprogramming the engine management in a garage equipped to perform this procedure. Take note of the valve serial number.
