Replacing the passenger side mirror on a 2009 Ford Ka II

  1. Following an impact on the rearview mirror, a piece of the black plastic part broke, the part not being removable, the complete rearview mirror must be replaced. However, my vehicle is equipped with body-colored mirror shells, so I am recovering my shell to place it on the new mirror.

  2. The new rearview mirror ( VAN WEZEL - 1873818 ) comes with the ice and the outer shell in a layer after which it must be repainted in the desired color.   3. Remove the cover to access the 3 fixing screws I use two plastic trim removers so as not to damage the cover. Leverage the cover

    I would like to know how to remove the cover. I tried to remove it but the piece of white plastic remained in its location in the bodywork and I cannot clip the cover.

  4. We access the 3 fixing screws (8 mm) I use a 3/8 ratchet, an extension and an 8MM socket Unscrew the 3 screws

  6. I use the plastic lever again so as not to damage the glass which is in good condition. Unplug the 2 defrosting pods Detach them 4 hull fasteners and remove it

For me the mirror had come loose and the tutorial was very useful for removing the window and the trim cover... thank you!

I would like to know how to remove the cover. I tried to remove it but the piece of white plastic remained in its location in the bodywork and I cannot clip the cover "the white plastic that clips"

I did everything as described, but my mirror doesn't move an inch...any ideas?!!
