Change the reversing light switch - Citroën C2

Remove the engine cover

Remove the battery cover

Disconnect the battery terminals

Remove the battery from its compartment

Disconnect the three connectors from the electro injection calculator

Rotate the gray part to unlock the connector

Pull vertically to remove the calculator from the battery compartment

Remove the partition protecting the power steering computer

Disconnect the three connectors from the computer

Unclip the cables attached to the battery tray

The tray is held in place by two screws

Use a 10mm wrench to remove them

Remove the battery tray from the engine compartment

The reverse light switch is located on top of the gearbox

Disconnect the electrical connector

Use a 22mm wrench to loosen the connector

Do not allow any dirt to fall inside the gearbox during removal.

Compare contactors and replace gasket

Screw the switch onto the gearbox

Reconnect the connector

Replace the battery tray and computers

Replace the battery and covers

Wait 5 minutes after reconnecting for the computer to initialize before starting the vehicle
