Introduction
Your window no longer goes down when you press the button, the motor no longer makes noise!
This is most likely a fault with the electric window regulator.
Here are the 14 steps to follow to easily replace it. Let's go!
-
-
Locate the fixing screws for the storage compartment
-
There is a screw to hide under the window lifter button cover
-
Remove the window lifter button cover using the flat screwdriver
-
Unscrew the 8 screws from the pocket using the T20 torx screwdriver
-
-
-
Locate the 2 handle fixing screws
-
Unscrew the 2 screws from the handle using the T30 torx screwdriver
-
-
-
Remove the lever outline by pulling towards you
-
Be careful not to break the frame fasteners
-
-
-
Pull the door panel towards you from the bottom to unhook it
-
The panel is held in place by 4 plastic clips
-
Once the bottom of the panel is unclipped, pull the panel upwards to separate it from the door.
-
Be careful with the opening button when removing the panel
-
-
-
Remove the ear protection by gently pulling on it
-
The manufacturer recommends replacing this protection during disassembly.
-
-
-
Locate the power supply to the window lift motor
-
Disconnect the terminal by pressing the metal tab on the connector and pulling it (see photos)
-
-
-
Locate the 3 fasteners to be drilled
-
Drill the fasteners using the metal drill bit
-
-
-
The window is held on the window regulator rail by a plastic "square" on the outside of the door
-
Simply turn the "square" half a quarter turn and then push it outwards
-
Some resistance is felt during the unlocking maneuver
-
-
-
Remove the outer window seal so that the window can be moved away from the rail
-
Just pull it up from the door handle side. Use a flat head screwdriver to pry it up at first.
-
-
-
Locate the 2 fixing screws
-
Unscrew the screws using the 10 combination wrench.
-
-
-
Remove the glass from the window regulator guide
-
The window will fall, support the window in the "up" position using a tasso
-
Remove the window regulator system from the door by tilting the rail horizontally
Removing the glass from the glass guide: not easy at all. It takes several hours. We don't know if we should remove the rubber at the same time, we are afraid of breaking the glass, we hurt our fingers and we can't see anything. A real pain!
But thanks for the other explanations.

When refitting, add a little white grease to the mechanism slide (rail) to improve the raising and lowering of the window over time.

Good morning,
For me the cable is crimped. You should look at the photos or take it apart to check.

Should the entire mechanism (rail, pulley, cable, etc.) be changed when only the cable is wrapped around the pulley? Why not just change the cable?
