Introduction

This tutorial helps you perform the oil change on a Peugeot 206 1L9 diesel

  1.

Place a pan under the sump plug

Using a 21mm socket wrench, loosen the sump plug, allow the oil to drain into the pan

With the filter wrench, loosen the filter completely and then remove it from the car.

Put a little oil on the gasket of the new filter and spread it with your finger over the entire gasket

    • Screw it back in by hand then tighten it slightly with the filter wrench

Place a new gasket on the crankcase plug.

Screw the crankcase plug back in by hand then tighten with a 21mm socket wrench.

    • Place a new gasket on the crankcase plug.

    • Screw the crankcase plug back in by hand then tighten with a 21mm socket wrench.

    • Pour the oil

    • Replace the filler cap and dipstick.

    • Start the engine, let it run for a minute, then turn it off.

Pull the oil dipstick

The correct oil level should be just below the maximum, if this is not the case add oil to reach the correct level. (between the 2 arrows)
