Introduction

Tutorial made on Renault Scènic 2 1.9 dCi 120cv

In this tutorial we will replace the reversing radar sound module, also called buzzer or beeper. In our case this part is defective and no longer generates any sound.

  1. Locate the luggage cover roller release lever. Unlock the reel using the lever. Remove the luggage cover roller from its location and remove it from the trunk.
    • Locate the luggage cover roller release lever.

    • Unlock the reel using the lever.

    • Remove the luggage cover roller from its location and remove it from the trunk.

  2. Locate the plastic cover to be removed, located on the left of the trunk. Locate the first torx type screw to remove, which is located inside the plastic upright. Locate the second torx type screw to remove to remove the plastic cover.
    • Locate the plastic cover to be removed, located on the left of the trunk.

    • Locate the first torx type screw to remove, which is located inside the plastic upright.

    • Locate the second torx type screw to remove to remove the plastic cover.

  3. Unscrew and remove the first torx type screw using a screwdriver. Unscrew and remove the second torx type screw using a screwdriver. The two screws have a different template, it is important to remember their location.

  4. Pull on the plastic cover to unclip it from its location. Then remove it completely to gain access to the trunk trim.

  5. Gently pull the trim to reveal the reversing radar sound module. Locate the module in question and its connector. Remove the sound module connector from its location.

  6. Remove the two plastic screws holding the module using a flat screwdriver. Then replace it, and follow the same instructions for reassembly.
