  1.

Insert a flathead screwdriver between the disc and the pad and lever it to push the piston back enough to remove the caliper.

Remove the hose from the bracket so that it does not twist when you hang the caliper.

Hang the stirrup from the suspension spring using a rope or a metal S

Spray the paste on all contact surfaces that you have previously cleaned.

Before installing the new disc, apply brake cleaner to both sides to remove the paraffin which serves to protect the metal from rust.

Reassembly is carried out in reverse order.

Conclusion

Once reassembly is complete, press the brake pedal several times to put the piston back in place.

Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir.

To break in new pads, do not brake hard during the first 200 km.

Hello, I followed the tutorial, however the car no longer wants to start, I have an error light and I think it is due to the electric handbrake.

Any ideas how I can fix this?

According to the RT, the tightening torques are:

- the 2 column screws (BTR 7 behind the caps): 28 Nm

- the two 18 bolts of the caliper support: 105 Nm

- the two brake disc screws: 14 Nm
