Introduction

Replacement of the LED indicator of the exterior mirror which also includes a defrosting resistor and the mirror adjustment motor.

  1. 
Adjust the mirror glass so that you can slide your fingers behind the mirror.

Pull it gently

Go around to unclip it.
    • Adjust the mirror glass so that you can slide your fingers behind the mirror.

Remove the lugs used to defrost the mirror

Unscrew the torx screw in the center. Unlike other models of the brand, this is the only screw to remove, the plastic housing the motor is also clipped in 3 places.

Remove the painted shell from the mirror by using a flat spatula and sliding it between the indicator and the shell, pushing gently upwards.

Unclip the motor.

    • Unclip the motor.

Remove the torx screw in the photo.

Remove the motor connector.

Unclip the plastic trim that goes around the rearview mirror.
    • Remove the torx screw in the photo.

    • Remove the motor connector.

    • Unclip the plastic trim that goes around the rearview mirror.

Remove the 2 torx screws.

Remove the torx screw to release the turn signal and remove the turn signal connector.
    • Remove the 2 torx screws.

    • Remove the torx screw to release the turn signal and remove the turn signal connector.

    • Proceed to reassembly in reverse order. Do not hesitate to observe the rearview mirror from the other side to see the orientation of the visible plastic parts.

I also succeeded,

I didn't find it that easy,

The indicator repeater is fixed by 2 screws on the black plastic support. The 2nd is not immediately accessible.

I reassembled the new repeater without having dismantled the upper painted shell, I was afraid of breaking it.
