Introduction

We are going to replace the right folding exterior mirror which no longer responds to the electric control.

  1. 
Open the driver's door and unclip the interior mirror cover by sliding it upwards.
    • Open the driver's door and unclip the interior mirror cover by sliding it upwards.

    • We can see the electric cable of the rearview mirror and the 3 torx screws (T25) fixing it to the bodywork. (red circle)

  2. 
Photo 1: Unclip the trapezoidal plastic cover using a flat screwdriver.

Access is provided to all of the electrical connectors for the mirror control.

    • Photo 2: Follow the path of the cable coming from the mirror to the connector, and carefully disconnect it (yellow arrow).

You can then unscrew the 3 torx screws (red circles) securing the mirror and gently remove it from the outside of the car.

Photo 1: Position the rearview mirror using the positioning rod (green arrow). Then tighten the 3 torx screws securing the rearview mirror.

Finally, we connect the plug to the board.

    • Finally, we connect the plug to the board.

    • Photo 2: we clip the plastic covers back on, sliding the largest one from the top down into the white plastic clips (yellow arrows).

Hello, my rearview mirrors are constantly moving because a pulley is loose. How can I access it please? Mercedes Benz classic 180 year 2011
