Introduction

Replacing the cabin filter is necessary after a certain number of years. It filters the outside air entering the cabin, and prevents bad odors and dust from entering the cabin while protecting the heater fan motor from the outside elements.

  1.
In the engine compartment, unclip the windshield bay air vent and remove its seal.

Unscrew the 2 cross-head screws located in the opening, which hold the cable gland box in place.

    • Unscrew the 3 hexagonal screws using the 7mm key

  3.
pull the sheet metal up. It may be difficult to remove because of the rubber insulation, in which case use a large flat screwdriver to pry it up in the groove that holds it from below.

  4.
Unclip the old filters on either side of the ventilation motor, take the opportunity to wipe them with a cloth or vacuum them.

insert the new filters, they must be well attached to the body of the fan motor on each side. a clip holds them in place.

Fit the covers of each filter (there is a groove provided for this). These covers protect the filters from external elements (rain, etc.)

Personally, I still haven't figured out what holds the filters against the fan body... and filters that are not reassembled properly will "wander around the housing and no longer perform their function. Good luck...

It should be noted that access to the upper hexagonal screw on the right side (direction of travel) is difficult because it is hidden by the wiring bellows.

You also need to cut two rilsan collars that hold the wiring bellows on the left side (direction of travel)

Reassembling the new filter on the left side (direction of travel) requires perseverance and you should not hesitate to push...

to reassemble the water box sheet metal, you must first insert it into the groove on the left side (direction of travel), then into the lower horizontal groove and finish with the right side (direction of travel) and finish with the three hexagonal screws
