Introduction

Changing the battery + setting the date and time on a Opel vectra B 2L DTI 100ch.

Using a 10 mm flat wrench, first disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

Then disconnect the positive terminal, still using the 10 key.

Then disconnect the positive terminal, still using the 10 key.
    • Using a 10 mm flat wrench, first disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

    • Then disconnect the positive terminal, still using the 10 key.

Pull the battery handles to remove it

Compare batteries (height, width and length)

Place the new battery in its location.

Reconnect the positive terminal then the negative terminal

Do not reverse polarities

To set the date and time, simply press the left button above the screen for 3 seconds to make the day flash, then set the day by pressing the right button as many times as necessary.

on my car there is no fixing bar for the battery, in fact there is just a house in which the battery is simply housed.

I totally agree, you must not forget to remove the tab that secures the battery. To do this I use a ratchet wrench with an extension and a 13mm bit. You must first unclip a box located on the front of the battery, near the grille. This gives access to the 13mm nut. Unscrew this nut and recover the metal plate. This is the assembly that secures the battery. Then you must disconnect the terminals as indicated, then remove the battery. Put in the new battery and proceed as indicated without forgetting to screw the fixing plate.
