Introduction

In order to change these two rear shock absorbers, you will first need to safely lift the car. Then remove the wheel, then remove the used shock absorber. You will then need to recover the elements to replace on the new shock absorber. Then put the new shock absorber in place, then put the wheel back in and lower the car. Do the same for both sides. First, remember to prime the shock absorber by raising and lowering the jack.

Allow 2 hours, some basic mechanics but these steps are within the reach of a beginner.

  1.
Remove the wheel bolt covers with two screwdrivers

  4.
With the 16mm offset wrench, hold the nut (yellow arrow). With the adjustable wrench, loosen the shock absorber rod (red circle). On some models you may need an Allen key.

Remove the upper bracket, remove the stop (red circle) and the bellows (blue arrow)

Reinstall the three elements in the same order on the new shock absorber.
