Introduction
Changing the front headlight optics on 206 2.0 HDi 90cv
We will first remove the grille, unscrew the optical fixings in order to dislodge it to undo the connections in order to remove it to replace it.
Tools
Parts
-
-
Unscrew the 2 screws using a torx key
-
Remove the 4 fixing rivets - using a screwdriver remove the rods inside the rivets to remove them
-
Each end of the grille is held by 2 interlocking fasteners. Pull gently, by hand, on one side then the other to unclip them.
-
The grille can then be removed.
-
-
-
Unscrew the screw located at the bottom of the optics on the grille side - 10 mm wrench
-
-
-
Pull the optic towards you to dislodge it
-
Disconnect the 2 connectors in red: using a screwdriver, press on the metal rod, then pull on the connector to disconnect it.
-
Disconnect the 2 blue connectors: lift the plastic tab, then pull to disconnect
-
-
-
Check the operation of the following lights: position, dipped, main and indicator.
-
-
-
Check the dipped beam height adjustment (at night or in a dark place)
-
Position the vehicle on a flat surface, 10 meters from a wall. Place the height adjustment wheel located inside the vehicle in the "0" position.
-
For a projector with H7 bulb: the beam tilt must be 1.2% per meter. That is, at 10m, the beam height (HF) must be 12cm lower than the headlight height (HP).
-
If necessary, adjust the height of the dipped beam headlight: using an Allen key, screw in or unscrew the adjustment screw located on the optic.

Thanks for this tutorial, otherwise I would have racked my brains and spent more time. PS, I changed my left headlight on a 206, 1.4l HDi from 2005.
Good morning,
The question is whether the setting is different for H4 bulbs?
Thank you for your attention
It's very nice of you to take the time to help, thank you and congratulations!
Very clear, thank you very much. We no longer have the car manual....
