Introduction

This tutorial allows you to replace a right stabilizer link on a Peugeot 206

  1. Park the car on level ground Apply the handbrake
    • Park the car on level ground

    • Apply the handbrake

    • Lift the car with a jack at the level of the front right underbody

    • Just loosen the screws on the right front wheel without removing them

    • Raise the car so that the right front wheel is no longer touching the ground

    • Prop up the car with a jack stand to work safely

    • Remove the 4 screws and the wheel

  2. Connecting rod to be replaced Relieve the stabilizer bar using a lever to release the link Relieve the stabilizer bar using a lever to release the link
    • Connecting rod to be replaced

    • Relieve the stabilizer bar using a lever to release the link

  3. Unscrew the upper nut that secures the connecting rod Unscrew the lower nut that secures the connecting rod Remove the connecting rod
    • Unscrew the upper nut that secures the connecting rod

    • Unscrew the lower nut that secures the connecting rod

    • Remove the connecting rod

  4. Replace the connecting rod Place and tighten the two connecting rod nuts.
    • Replace the connecting rod

    • Place and tighten the two connecting rod nuts.

  5. Reassemble the wheel
    • Reassemble the wheel

    • Tighten the screws once the wheel is on the ground.

for unscrewing it will be wise to provide a 16 mm socket wrench

Yes, or a spanner. Personally, everything was seized up so I used an angle grinder (being careful not to damage the stabilizer bar of course).
