Open the engine hood to access the filler cap and oil filter.

Open the oil filler cap to allow the oil to drain more easily. If possible, do this with the engine warm to thin the oil.

Raise and support the front right side of the vehicle to access the oil pan under the engine.

Use a 24mm wrench to loosen the drain plug. Place a drain pan underneath and finish unscrewing the plug by hand.

Return the vehicle to its wheels and allow the oil to drain completely.

In the engine compartment, locate the oil filter.

Unscrew the oil filter bell using a 27 mm socket
-

Before completely removing the filter from its support, let the oil drain from the latter. If necessary, place the tray underneath.

On the workbench, pull the filter cartridge out to remove it.

Clean the inside and outside of the bell.
-

-
Without damaging the seal groove, use a flat screwdriver to remove it.
-
Compare cartridge dimensions.
-
Place the new gasket on the bell using new oil.
-

-
Push the new cartridge all the way into the bell. The cartridge should hold itself in its housing.

Before replacing the filter, clean its support.

Align the filter on its support by hand.
-
Tighten the filter until it is snug by hand.

Use a 27mm socket and torque wrench to tighten to the value indicated on the bell,

To reinstall the drain plug, it is necessary to change the seal.

Raise and wedge the front right side of the vehicle.
-
-
Place the plug on the oil pan.
-
Screw in by hand until contact is reached.
-
Finish tightening with the 24 mm wrench by a quarter turn to slightly crush the seal.

Lower the vehicle.
-

Pour in new oil through the filler cap.

For the 1.4 petrol engine, it is recommended to add 3.2 litres of oil.

Close the cap and run the engine for a few minutes. Check the oil level on the dipstick again.
