Introduction
Draining and replacing the oil filter on a T5 multivan 2.5l TDI 130hp from 2007 (BNZ).

Warm up the engine for a few minutes

Place the vehicle on a flat area and open the hood

Raise the oil pull 5-10 cm to let the air pass through

Remove the engine cover by unscrewing the 6 screws with a 13 socket (the bottom of the photo is the bumper side)

Pinch the clip to remove the engine cover

Place the oil collection pan under the engine crankcase
-
Unscrew the drain plug with a 19 socket.

Let the oil flow into the pan

Provide a minimum 8L container
-

Locate the oil filter cap (facing the vehicle, on the left, below the power steering fluid reservoir)

Unscrew the power steering reservoir with a 10 socket to make room. Shift it slightly

Unscrew the oil filter cap with a 32 socket and ratchet.

Replace the oil filter (part number 070115562). Pull to unclip it.

Replace the O-ring on the oil filter cap

Screw the oil filter cap back on
-
Screw the power steering reservoir back on

Once the oil stops flowing, clean the port on the engine crankcase

Replace the drain plug (part number N90813202) with a new one
-
Screw the drain plug back onto the engine crankcase (lock without overtightening)

Unscrew the oil filler cap

Fill the tank with 5W30 LongLife (LL) oil, VW 504 00 / VW 507 00 standard (capacity 7.4L) - Reference: G052195M
-
Screw the filler cap back on.

Wait 5-10 minutes for the oil to drain back into the crankcase and check the oil level.

VAGCOM is required to reset the maintenance reminder

The steps are simple to do but you have to take your time.
Access to the oil filter is restricted, with a little patience, you can get there.
