Oil change and oil filter change on Volkswagen Scirocco III - 2.0 TDi

Remove the lower protection plate, it is held by:

6 show Torx 25

3 vis hexagonal of 8 mm

Once removed you have access to the drain plug

I use a ratchet and a 19mm socket

Unscrew the cap

Place a container underneath to collect the used oil.

Compare the old cap with the new one

While the oil is draining, I replace the oil filter

remove the upper engine cover, pulling it upwards

Locate the filter location

I use a ratchet, extension and 32mm socket to loosen the filter bell

Remove the filter from the bell

Change the bell seal

Compare old and new filter

Clip the new filter into the bell

Clip the filter

Oil the new seals

Replace the filter with the blister in its location

Tighten the bell

The tightening torque is 25nm

Once the oil has completely drained, tighten the new drain plug.

Open the filler cap

I use 4.1 liters of Castrol Longlife 5w30 oil recommended by VOLKSWAGEN

Check your oil level via the oil level dipstick

Replace the engine cover

Run your vehicle so that the oil rises to the oil filter.

Allow to cool and top up if necessary.

Finish by placing the plate under the engine
