    • The car will need to be level to facilitate the flow of oil and subsequently the correct level of new oil.

    • place the drain pan directly above the drain bolt.

  2.
Loosen the oil filler cap, leaving it on the hole so as not to drop anything in. Photo 1

The drain bolt is located under the car in the middle of the engine, more precisely at the bottom of the oil pan. Photo 1 and 2

Please note that used oil is very polluting for nature and difficult to clean. It must be taken to a collection/waste disposal center.

Using the filter remover, loosen the filter counterclockwise. Photo 1

Be careful to expect oil to flow, you must place a cloth under the filter to absorb it. Visible in photo 2

Remove the filter, keeping the open side facing upwards.

    • Check compatibility with new filter. Height and width

  5.
Put some new oil on the gasket of the new filter. Photo 1

Tighten the new filter by hand without forcing too much. If you are in doubt, check the installation instructions on your filter. Photo 2

Once the oil has drained, replace the drain bolt gasket with a new one and tighten it with the drain wrench on the crankcase. Do not force it too much. Photo 3

  7.
Check the car manual for the amount of oil needed.

Be careful, excess oil can cause engine failure.

Using a funnel, slowly pour the oil into the filler hole. Make one or two drops at the estimated half and 3/4 oil level and check the oil level. Photo 1

    • The correct oil level is between the minimum and maximum level on the oil dipstick. If in doubt, refer to the car's manual.

    • Once the oil level is ok, put the dipstick back in place and screw the filler cap back on.

    • Check the level after about ten km.
