How to do an oil change on a Ford Fiesta VI 1.0 Ecoboost (SCTi)

Loosen the oil pan plug using a ratchet and a 13 socket.

Remove the cap by hand

Place a basin or jerrycan to collect the oil

Using a filter wrench, unscrew the oil filter.

Finish unscrewing the oil filter by hand then remove it from its location

Place a pan under the oil filter

Compare the dimensions between the new oil filter and the old one

Lubricate the new filter with a little oil
-

Apply brake cleaner to the oil filter location, then dry with a rag
-

-
Clean the drain plug location with a cloth.

Replace the drain plug by hand
-
Then using a ratchet and a 13 socket tighten the drain plug

-
Pour about 4.5 liters of oil
-
Pull out the oil dipstick and wipe off the old level
-

-
Re-immerse the dipstick and check the level.
-
If the latter is correct, close the engine oil cap and re-insert the dipstick.

Start the engine, the oil change light should disappear from the dashboard
-

the filter of the one I made is not at all like the one in the tutorial.. (non-metallic filter)... so be careful ;-)
