Introduction

Warm up the engine before oil change

  1. 
Remove the filler cap and oil dipstick

Unscrew the 10 torx 30 screws to remove the under-engine plate

Remove the pin

Unscrew the cap by hand a quarter turn to remove it.

Unscrew the oil filter

Unscrew the oil filter
    • Unscrew the oil filter

  5. 
Check the correspondence between the old and new filter
    • Check the correspondence between the old and new filter

Replace the drain plug

Put the pin back in

Reinstall the oil filter
    • Replace the drain plug

    • Put the pin back in

    • Reinstall the oil filter

  7. 
Put the plate back under the engine

Tighten the 10 T30 screws
    • Put the plate back under the engine

    • Tighten the 10 T30 screws

  8. 
Pour the oil into the engine through the filler hole

Start the engine

Check the level
    • Pour the oil into the engine through the filler hole

    • Start the engine

    • Check the level

    • DO NOT EXCEED MAX LEVEL

    • Replace the dipstick and filler cap

Thanks for this great tutorial. On my model, on the side of the bottom cover, it's screws with an 8 hex head.

I just ordered an oil filter on Oscaro. I plan to do the oil change next month with 5w30 oil (Ford 913c approved) on a 120hp petrol kuga that will be 2 years old. I will look for how to reset the maintenance light when it comes on later. (The manufacturer's warranty will then have expired).

Here is the filter, it is the same reference as on the c max 1.0 ecoboost 125hp! But for the oil I put 5w20 on this other car.
