Introduction
Here is a tutorial to do the Peugeot 3008 2.0 HDi 150 CV oil change and oil filter replacement yourself.
-
-
Raise the vehicle using the jack and secure it on stands:Securing the vehicle: removing and refitting the wheel
-
Warm up the vehicle before starting the oil change so that the oil is more fluid.
-
Open the hood and remove the engine cover by pulling it upwards.
-
Remove the oil dipstick and filler cap
-
-
-
Place a tray under the vehicle
-
Using the 21 mm flat wrench, unscrew the drain plug.
-
Let the oil flow until it drips.
-
-
-
Replace the drain plug with the new copper gasket.
-
Tighten it using the 21 flat wrench
-
-
-
Reassemble the plate under the engine
-
Tighten the 9 screws of 10
-
-
-
Check the correspondence between the old and the new oil filter
-
-
-
Replace the oil filter gasket
-
Fit the new filter cartridge by clipping it downwards
-
-
-
Reinstall the oil filter, tightening it by hand.
Be careful at this stage you have to tighten with a wrench and very hard. Hand tightening is only valid for iron cartridges, not here and I paid the price, my filter came loose, oil filled the engine...

Pour the oil recommended by the manufacturer into the engine through the filler hole.
-
Check the oil level with the dipstick
-
Replace the dipstick and cap then start the engine to fill the oil filter
-
BE CAREFUL NOT TO EXCEED THE MAXIMUM LEVEL
-
Check the oil level again with the dipstick
-
-
-
Replace the engine cover by clipping it downwards
-
Put the vehicle back on the ground
-
-
-
To reset the maintenance indicator on the dashboard, press the "000" button and turn on the ignition.
-
Hold until the countdown is complete
-
-
-
Here is the reset video
There is a lack of tools and steps to completely empty the crankcase because the latter has a design defect which leaves part of the oil loaded with filings at the bottom!

For my part I have version 2 and the filter is very accessible with the axial key (3 fingers) after removing the 13 screws of the plate under the engine. On the other hand pay attention to the drain the engine housing is made of plastic as well as the quarter-turn cap. This cap is locked by a pin, but when you unscrew it, you risk a shower because it goes away all at once ! The cork slips out of your hands and falls into the funnel and blocks it! Preferably take a bowl for about 6 liters… or hold the cork with pliers. Don't forget to put the pin back in!

I cut a 27 key so that it would fit.

Hello
I remove the filter before replacing the drain plug because
after changing the filter with this procedure (before putting the oil back)
if you take the drain plug back on you have almost 1 liter

Good morning,
Very good, perfectly clear tutorial for an oil change on a 3008.
However, disassembly using the filter remover type photo above…….puuuufff and very very difficult!!
I strongly recommend equipping yourself with a 27mm oil filter ratchet wrench (or not).
This is a suitable tool, and will preserve your oil filter housing cover.

@Karl, it is possible, without certainty, that it is like on the 165hp hybrid4, an “old” metal oil filter not placed idem.
Others will be able to help you better than me, but either you have this plastic bell, or an old-fashioned filter but you have to find it.

@Jean Pierre, I confirm I have the same vehicle as you. I was surprised when I removed the engine cover. Maybe a tutorial should be added??
Hello. I have a 3008 blue HDi 150hp phase 2 from 2016, Engine code: AHX, DW10FD. Plastic engine oil pan, plastic drain plug of the METZGER type - 8030024. Metal oil filter of the 1109AL type placed next to the drain plug, therefore under the vehicle, visible and accessible after removing the protective plate under the engine block.
Perfect. Just bothered by the plate under the engine with the rusty screws...
Thank you ☺

Good morning,
for the 3008 2.0 liters 150 hp diesel from 2016 (generation 2, not the latest e-cokpit), I can't find the location of the oil filter??
Can you help me. Thank you
Sincerely,
Karl
