Introduction
We will see how to carry out an oil change and replacement of the oil filter for a Citroën Berlingo 1.6l diesel.
-
-
Perform the operation when hot (let the vehicle warm up for 10-15 minutes and wait approximately 40 minutes for the oil to cool down)
-
To prepare:
-
A 5L can of 5w30 oil for Diesel
-
An oil filter with its gasket
-
A drain seal
-
-
-
Unscrew the oil filler cap
-
Locate the oil pan plug
-
Place a container to collect used oil
-
Unscrew the oil pan plug
-
Let the oil flow...
-
-
-
Disconnect the fresh air intake hose by pressing the plastic tabs (bumper side)
-
Remove the fresh air intake hose by turning it counterclockwise (windshield side)
-
Locate the oil filter bell
-
Unscrew the oil filter bell
-
-
-
Unclip the filter from the bell by pulling it towards the outside of the bell and throw it away.
-
Clip the new filter (the flat part towards the bottom of the bell)
-
Replace the bell O-ring
-
Screw the bell back into its housing, taking care to place the "nipple" of the filter correctly in its housing.
-
Replace the fresh air intake hose in the reverse order of disassembly.
-
-
-
When the oil no longer flows, clean the oil pan with a dry cloth
-
Close the oil pan by screwing the cap back onto the pan.
-
imperatively replacing the copper seal
-
Pour about 3.5l of new oil through the filler cap
-
Screw the oil cap back on
-
The oil level should be checked when the oil has fallen back to the bottom of the crankcase. Topping up may be necessary to reach the maximum level.
-
-
-
Press and hold the right button on the meter
-
Turn on the ignition, a 10 second countdown is then displayed
-
When "0" is displayed, release the button and turn off the ignition.
-
After switching on the ignition, the maintenance counter is reset to 20,000 km.
-
-
-
Repeat the steps to check that you have not forgotten anything.
-
Used oil and oil filters must be stored and taken to a recycling center.

Good morning,
In general terms yes, they are the same steps. However, the oil is different and the photos will not match.
Sincerely
